As in any 24/7 transportation industry, towing vessel crewmembers are regularly exposed to risk factors that may cause or exacerbate fatigue. AWO’s commitment to safety challenges us to proactively manage and mitigate these risks to reduce the likelihood of fatigue-related accidents. To assist member companies in meeting this challenge, we are very pleased to share with you Developing a Fatigue Risk Management Plan: A Guide for Towing Vessel Operators, produced with the guidance of AWO’s Fatigue Risk Management Working Group, and endorsed last week by the Coast Guard-AWO Safety Partnership’s National Quality Steering Committee.
