June 30, Mississippi River: Upper Mississippi Fleeting and SCF Marine hosted Congressional staffers from the offices of Sen. Richard Durbin (D-IL) and Reps. Bruce Braley (D-IA) Dave Loebsack (D-IA) onboard the 1,200 hp m/v Linwood Endeavor

June 27, Cumberland River: Hunter Marine Transport hosted Congressional staff from the offices of Sens. Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker and Reps. Jim Cooper and Diane Black onboard the 4,200 hp m/v James H. Hunter

June 26, Portland: Sause Bros., Foss Maritime, and Shaver Transportation hosted Congressional staffers from the Washington offices of Reps. Jaime Herrera Beutler and Suzanne Bonamici onboard the m/v Natoma, m/v Pacific Escort and the m/v Sommer S

June 19, Memphis, Tennessee: Wepfer Marine, Inc.; Marquette Transportation Company, Inc.; and Economy Boat Store a Congressional towboat tour in Memphis Congressional staff from the offices of Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), John Boozman (R-AR), and Mark Pryor (D-AR) as well as the offices of Reps. Rick Crawford (R-AR), Steve Womack (R-AR), Steve Cohen (D-TN), and Stephen Fincher (R-TN). The group embarked on Wepfer’s m/v Ricky Robinson and travelled up McKellar Lake towards the entrance to the Mississippi River. From there, participants boarded Marquette’s m/v Loree Eckstein. The 30-barge tow travelled northbound towards Economy Boat Store in Memphis where the group transferred to the m/v Memphis Crewboat, offering many opportunities to see the industry in action.

June 13, Gulfport, Mississippi: E.N. Bisso & Son, Inc. hosted a tugboat tour in Gulfport for staff from the office of Rep. Steve Palazzo, offering the opportunity to view industry operations in the port.

June 12, Ohio River: Marathon Petroleum Company hosted staff from the offices of Sens. Rand Paul and Jay Rockefeller and Reps. Thomas Massie, Hal Rogers, Brad Wenstrup  and Shelley Moore Capito abroad Marathon’s m/v Kentucky.

June 11, Tacoma, Washington: Foss Maritime Company held a tugboat ride-along with staff from the office of Sen. Maria Cantwell in Tacoma aboard the m/v Henry Foss. The group was able to view a ship assist job as the tug docked a large Tote container ship.
