2021 Annual Regional Meetings

The 2021 Annual Regional Meetings are going virtual with a five-session series updating members with all the latest industry happenings! We will kick off our series with two association business sessions to conduct official business, catch up on AWO issues, and elect our incoming association leadership! Next, there will be two sessions held with US Coast Guard partners. Finally, we will conclude the series with a members-only industry forum.
 
Due to the interconnectedness of our industry, all employees of AWO member companies are encouraged to attend all sessions, regardless of geographic location.
 

 

 

 

  • February 24, 2-4 pm ET: Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Southern Regions

  • February 25, 1-3 pm ET: Atlantic and Pacific Regions

The regions will gather in these virtual meetings to elect their new regional representatives, review and set 2021 organizational priorities, discuss and ask questions about what to expect in the political arena this year. Please come prepared to turn on your camera and participate in a dialogue with your industry colleagues and AWO staff. All employees of AWO member companies from any region are invited to attend these sessions. 

 

 

 

  • March 2, 1-3 pm ET: Atlantic and Pacific Regions - View the packet

  • March 4, 2-4 pm ET: Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Southern Regions - View the packet

 

For these sessions, the regions will convene in a virtual forum to meet with representatives from U.S. Coast Guard units. Topics include safety, inspection, waterways management, and maritime regulations. CEOs will lead a state of the industry session. This is an interactive session, so please come prepared to turn on your camera and have a dialogue with your regulatory leaders, industry colleagues, and AWO staff. The members displaying the three best background shots of vessels, will win a “discussion prize.” All employees of AWO member companies from any region are encouraged to attend these sessions, along with any Coast Guard, Corps, or other federal agency personnel and coalition partners that would like to participate.

 

 

 

  • March 10, 2-4 pm ET: All Regions
 
Our final session of the 2021 Annual Regional series will be a members-only, all-regions update on port happenings, air and water quality technology, and a discussion lead by industry CEOs on the state and path forward to improve the safety of the industry. This is an interactive session, so please come prepared to turn on your camera and dialogue with your industry colleagues, and AWO staff. All employees of AWO member companies from all regions are encouraged to attend this session.
