AWO hosted its webinar “Addressing COVID-19: Ask an Industrial Hygienist” featuring CTEH’s Christopher Kuhlman, PhD, DABT, CIH, a board-certified toxicologist and industrial hygienist. Dr. Kuhlman specializes in toxicology, risk assessment, toxicity evaluations, and emergency response toxicology and recently he has been working with maritime employers to meet the challenges of the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19. Webinar Q&A featured discussion on vessel decontamination, the reuse/sanitizing of PPE, acceptable cleaning solutions, how and when to use employees or a third-party contractor, and transmission prevention, among other topics.
