Alternative Arrangements for Vessel Distress Signals (VDS) for Subchapter M Vessels

This alternative arrangement letter dated Feb 03 2020, was presented by AWO to the Coast Guard and granted under 46 CFR 141.225. It specifies requirements for an alternative arrangement in leu of VDS carriage for vessel subject to Subchapter M. Vessels inspected under another subchapter or engaged in multi-service may not be allowed to use this alternative arrangement as it does not extend to other subchapters.
