AWO Mariner Workforce Forum: Credential Application Processed from A to Z

AWO's sixth Mariner Workforce Forum shared best practices for navigating the merchant mariner credential (MMC) and medical certificate application processes. Whether you're a mariner submitting your own applications, or an AWO member employee supporting many mariners through the application process, it can be challenging to understand and keep pace with changes to the U.S. Coast Guard's MMC and medical certificate processes. In this forum, leadership and staff from the National Maritime Center (NMC) walked through the complete application processes for merchant mariner credentials and medical certificates, provided updates on new communication and submission options, and shared tips and best practices for minimizing errors and speeding processing times.
