As California Goes, So Goes the Nation: What's Next for California Ports and the Industries That Serve Them

Recently, the California Assembly's Select Committee on Ports and Goods Movement completed its tour of all of California's public ports. The Chairman, Mike Gipson, has issued an interim report highlighting California ports’ crucial role in the state and national economy, including a thorough policy analysis of the most pressing issues facing the goods movement sector, and outlines a roadmap to keep California ports competitive in a challenging and complex environment. Mark Fuentes, Senior Field Representative for Chair Gipson, will join us to discuss the findings of the report and provide some thoughts on how the tugboat, towboat and barge industry can better tell its story to lawmakers.
