Safe and Sustainable by Design

A presentation reviewing available pilot projects designed to reduce impacts of human noise to marine mammals in the Gulf of Mexico, a presentation of techniques, opportunities, and challenges available to vessel owners for retrofitting their fleets to make them more sustainable, and a presentation of the available coatings, paints, and other hull protections designed to extend the life of a vessel and reduce pollution while increasing fuel economy. These presentations are followed by a question-and-answer period with AWO members, focused on the solutions and challenges presented by each speaker.
